Your Lodge Board and many willing volunteers served the community during this year's 2025 Fort Vermilion Ag Fair. The days were warm and the ice cream was a welcome relief for hundreds of folks who came by to chat about the proposed seniors care facility". Many thanks to those who helped out at the event!

On July 3, 2025 the Fort Vermilion and Area Seniors and Elders Lodge Board and the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (OMG) held a Community Supper and information session regarding the recently approved Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations. OMG was represented by the Secretary of Housing & Infrastructure, Valerie Quintal, and Fort Vermilion Métis District Citizens’ Representative, Bobbi Paul-Alook. The MOU affirms that both organizations are to work together to secure funding, resources, and support for the development and operation of a culturally inclusive seniors and elders care facility in Fort Vermilion for the Region.
